ZANU PF United Kingdom chapter has sympathised with fired workers in Zimbabwe imagining how would they survive after they were sent home without terminal benefits after spending more time at the companies.
"We are imagining someone who has worked for 17 years at a company and now they are being retrenched without a package and yet every month they contributed to a pension scheme. What is going to happen to their pension?" said UK Zanu PF.
"The letters to the employees we have seen are silent on this. In fact most of them just tell the employee that they will get their 3 month notice pay at some point in the future when the cash becomes available."
The chapter said there are many questions that remain unanswered. Not our questions but those of employees or is it former employees.
"This is the reason why we ask for a moral approach to this traumatic (yet in cases necessary restructuring) retrenchment exercise," said the chapter.
