Machete wielding robbers pounce on at gold mine

Four of the 10 robbers who were allegedly armed with machete, axes and logs when they pounced on an Odzi gold mine and made got away with gold ore have been dragged to court charged with robbery.
Edmore Moyana (35) Maron Musayamura (36), Audacious Mugombe (27) and Sam Magaya Betera (35) all of MT Zuma in Odzi denied the charge when they appeared in court before Mutare senior magistrate Sekai Chiundura.
They were remanded out of custody on $120 bail.
Prosecutor Donald Mudadirwa told the court that the accused in the company of six others who are still at large robbed Peter Garira of his gold ore after they had scared off his workers with machete and axes in Village 19 MT Zuma in Odzi.
They then looted the gold ore.
