'O' level student up for maintenance

A 'O' Level student at a Mutare Independent College, Richard Chinanai has been dragged to the courts for maintenance of his child he sired with a domestic worker Primrose Kachikawo one and  a half years ago.

Chinanai was brought before Mutare Civil Court magistrate recently by the woman who was demanding $80 per month for the up keep of the child.

The two appeared before Annia Ndiraya. But Chinanai said he only realise $20 through selling jiggies and can pay $15 per month.

The woman said the student would raise the money since his parents working in South Africa would help him.

Ndiraya ruled that the young father  pay $20 per month  as from August 31.
