Manicaland war vets block Mutsvangwa

War veterans in Mutare last week rejected Hubert Nyanhongo candidature for the provincial chairman's post.

This comes after they claimed that Nyanhongo was imposed by Christopher Mutsvangwa who is said to be linked to minister Oppah Muchinguri-Kashiri.

Mutsvangwa dismissed the claims yesterday. Since the departure of Didymus Mutasa last year, Manicaland Provincial Affairs minister Mandi Chimene and Muchinguri-Kashiri have clashed over control of the province.
