Man damages employer's property in a fight over wages

A man from Matsheumhlophe suburbs in Bulawayo allegedly destroyed his employer's property after they were engaged in a dispute over his wages.
Moses Nkomo (27) was not asked to plead to the charge of malicious damage to property when he appeared before Bulawayo magistrate Charity Maphosa. The magistrate remanded him out of custody to August 27.
The court heard that the complainant is Rannah Mkhwananzi (70) of the same suburb.
On April 19 this year at 8:30pm Nkomo allegedly went to Mkhwananzi's home and demanded his wages which he claimed the complainant owed him.
After a misunderstanding over the issue he allegedly destroyed property which include micro wave, electric kettle, flask, storage jar and chopping board all worthy $278.
The complainant reported the matter to the police leading to Nkomo's arrest.
