'Learn from Bulawayo,' Harare City Council told

The Harare City Council has a lot to learn from Bulawayo in dealing with vendors and vehicle traffic management, Bulawayo Mayor, Councillor Martin Moyo has said.
Moyo said unlike in Harare where the municipal police continue to play cat and mouse games with vendors and commuter omnibus operators, Bulawayo stands out as a shining example of how such issues are managed.
"The most important issue to us is that of consultation. We consult widely and then we take planning as very important," he said.
Bulawayo has stood tall across the country as a better-run city and a better organised and cleanest city.
While Harare has experienced typhoid and diarrhoea outbreaks, the City of Kings and Queens has remained spot on when it comes to environmental and health issues.
