A MAN FROM Makokoba who was caught by the police selling copper wire without licence or permit has been dragged to court charge with illegally dealing in copper.
Nkomazana Thulani (42) was not asked to plead to the charge when he appeared before Bulawayo magistrate Merilyn Mutshina. The magistrate further remanded him for trial.
The court heard that on August 19 this year Nkomazana was caught by one sergeant Gwaradzimba and Constable Nyathi from the police Minerals Unit selling copper wire at the Bulawayo's market place. They demanded to see his licence or permit and he failed to produce it leading to his arrest.
He was allegedly displaying 100 times 2,25 millimeters of the copper wire which was confiscated.
