Harare town clerk Tendai Mahachi has presented 22 demands running into millions of dollars as an exit package to his employer and top among them are a mansion in Belvedere and two top-of-the-range vehicles.
According to a letter written by his lawyers to Harare Mayor Councillor Bernard Manyenyeni, Mahachi who earned more than $27 000 monthly, wants council to pay him over $100 000 for every year he served.
He joined council in 2007. Mahachi is on forced leave for reportedly stalling the city's succession plan and rationalisation of executive salaries, among other issues.
