Mugabe's government accused of looting investors monies

A local investor Obert Mundevere Ncube has written a letter directed to President Robert Mugabe and his Vice Presidents notifying him that he would not this time remit any tax to the government after noticing that the government has been looting their money for no positive national use.

"I have been a law abiding citizen for all my working life. I have submitted my returns as per the law, paid taxes and carried out every every obligation required as a citizen of Zimbabwe," he wrote.

"It is with regret that I wish to inform you that this year I will be breaking the law and will not be submitting my returns until such time, you begin to stop our hard earned monies from being looted day after day, week after week by your own Government officials!!!"

Ncube said there is never any accountability or consequences to this blatant thieving epidemic taking hold.

"From the President, the Ministers, their family and friends, it is now beyond a joke!!!! Every honest Zimbabwean, home and away including the dead you killed, aspires to a prosperous, equatable and sustainable country where everyone benefits, where law and order is respected, where service delivery and education are properly provided and where business is given the environment to thrive!!," he said.

"None of what we contribute to is happening and more and more is being stolen by these treasonous thugs! Therefore, when I believe that justice, transparency, services, integrity and good governance is taking place, that consequences and accountability are seen to be done, I will not be remitting to your government, will advice all workers to stop paying any taxes, few anyway because you have let companies close. Millions are in the streets as vendors."
