Former Harare Town Clerk Tendai Mahachi
Harare Residents Trust has condemned the former Harare Town Clerk Tendai Mahachi's demand for $3 million package as retrogressive and destructive to the local authority.
Following his suspension Mahachi has demanded to be paid a package of $3m.
HRT said the the move taken by Mahachi of demanding 3 million exit package, will worsen the service delivery situation which is already suffering.
"With the current situation where residents go for weeks without water,no refuse collection, poor roads maintenance and no drainage clearing. Mahachi has been earning huge salaries in the expense of service delivery and he still wants to milk the ratepayers money," the trust said.
