Mugabe just presented a revised version of his ZimAsset - analyst

Political commentator and media scholar Pedzisayi Ruhanya has said President Robert Mugabe during his State of the Nation Address just presented his revised version of the ZimAsset.
Ruhanya said those who think that President Mugabe communicated a new message to the international community and investors have little memory.
"The 10-point plan bar the issue of beneficiation that he talks about is a verbatim reproduction of his economic policy statement in 1990 before the launch of ESAP. What became of that 25 years later?" he said.
"That statement just like this repetition did not get the international investors response because its not accompanied by liberal democratic institutional reforms."
Ruhanya said this attempt will fail primary on the basis of Zanu PF's refusal to reform its politics just like it refused to change its authoritarian practices for the past 35 years.
President presented his SONA on Tuesday amid the lose of hopes to many who said the presentation had nothing to offer for the suffering Zimbabweans.
