Women and land in Zimbabwe organise meeting

As tradition, Women and Land in Zimbabwe has  organized a national meeting on the 3rd of September 2015 in Gweru in Chiundura at Gambiza value addition centre.

The organisation said the theme of this year's meeting is 'Rural Women farmers demanding climate justice, participation in decision making  and recognition of their immense contribution to food security and food sovereignty .

"The gathering will bring rural women from all areas where WLZ is working to share their successes, challenges,  experiences and come up solutions that will inform the charter of demands to be present  to the guest of honor for onward submission to relevant Ministries / departments and Parliament for policy review," reads the communique emailed by the organisation.

"As important stakeholders we are inviting you to this  crucial meeting to witness and  be in solidarity with the rural women of Zimbabwe"
