Man fined $120 for masquerading as soldier

A man from Chikanga 2 in Mutare has been fined $129 for masquerading as a soldier of which failure to pay will see him spending 60 days in jail.
Norest Murapa (23) pleaded guilty to the charge when he appeared before Mutare magistrate Sekai Chiundura. He was convicted and fined.
The court heard that he was found in possession or wearing camouflage uniform.
The prosecutor Donald Mudadirwa said on August 18 at sports field in Chikanga 2 Murapa unlawfully possessed and wore the army uniform when he was not a soldier.
When he was asked if he was a soldier he said he was not.
This led to his arrest.
