A MUTARE woman last Monday successfully applied for a protection order against the wife of the man she allegedly snatched.
Christine Chakaipa from Florida medium density suburb had to seek the court's intervention to stop her boyfriend's wife only identified as Mrs Gweru of Chikanga high-density suburb from disturbing her happy moments with her new found lover.
She was accusing her of insulting and sending bouncers to assault her.
They appeared before Mrs Yeukai Chigodora, who granted Chakaipa the protection order.
Chakaipa told the court that they were once good friends with Gweru, but it all started when Gweru's husband proposed love to her.
"She saw text messages in my phone, but I tried to explain to her that nothing was going on between me and her husband. She did not believe me.
"She started sending me text messages threatening to consult traditional healers to fix me," said Chakaipa.
She also said Gweru visited her place several times threatening and insulting her while looking for her husband.
"She came to St Martin's Roman Catholic Church where I stay during the night shouting at me and disturbing my sleep several times saying she was looking for her husband.
As if that was not enough, she proceeded to send bouncers to attack me. I need my peace Your Worship," she said.
In response, Gweru said she was alerted by Chakaipa's son only known as Elton that her husband was having an affair with his mother.
She claimed that Elton had told her that her husband would spend several nights at their house.
"I went to her house several times, only to find my husband there. He would be so relaxed while I am suffering with my three children at home.
"Of course, I had to send her messages, warning her to stay away from my husband, but it appears I had blessed the union," said Gweru. She denied ever sending bouncers to assault Chakaipa.
"I never sent bouncers to attack her. I never assaulted her myself.
"She has caused enough problems in my family. I am tired and I am leaving them to enjoy until the end," she said.
Mrs Chigodora ordered Gweru to observe peace against Chakaipa and advised her to take legal channels if she had problems with her husband.
