Man bashes wife leaves her with missing tooth over $1

A man from Ruwa has been dragged to court after he assaulted his wife in a dispute over $1 leaving her with a missing tooth.
Farai Fungurai of Kushinga Crescent Ruwa was fined $30 after he admitted assaulting his wife Zanele Mhlope.
The magistrate said if he failed to pay the fine he would be sent to jail; for 20 days.
Fungurai told the magistrate Victoria Mashamba that he failed to control his temper and ended up assaulting his wife after she insisted with her demand for a $1.
He said he had told her that he had no money and she kept on asking for it.
The incident occurred on August 27 at 6pm when Mhlope asked for a $1 to buy some soap. When he told her that he had no money she insisted doubting that he had no money.
This angered him resulting to him assaulting her.
