Mujuru party to be launched soon

THE People First project reportedly being fronted by the former Vice-President Joice Mujuru and other fired Zanu-PF officials, is finally expected to take off the ground soon, spokesperson of the project, Rugare Gumbo said on Saturday.
Gumbo and other former Zanu-PF members linked to the project told The Standard that the outfit was putting final touches to its constitution and other relevant documents, such as their party's economic and social blueprints ahead of the launch, to be announced "soon".
Gumbo confirmed that ground work had been done, but refused to give dates for the launch.
Some sources within the People First project maintained that the party would be launched before year-end.
They said party structures were already in place.
An official who chose to speak on condition of anonymity, but is involved in the organisation of the party said: "We will be the game changer of Zimbabwe's politics and that should be a lesson for Zanu-PF in 2018."
