A LOCAL teacher was ushered out of Mutare Civil Courts premises by police officers earlier this week after he had started shouting obscenities accusing his wife and her ex-husband of having an affair behind his back.
The teacher who was only identified as Matongera had escorted his wife, Pauline Matongera to court after she had made a maintenance application against her ex-husband, Kudzai Inani.
After the order had been made by Mutare magistrate, Anniah Ndiraya that Inani who earns $1 200 monthly should contribute $30 towards the upkeep of his minor child, Inani complained to the court that Matongera's new husband refused him access to his child regardless of the fact that he had incessantly tried to locate his child.
However, Matongera who was not part of the application angrily stood up and told the court that the reason he did not want Inani near his child was that he had started making advances towards his wife and he did not trust Pauline to say no to him.
Matongera accused Inani of using Whatsapp to lure his wife after seeing her cute profile pictures. "I have had enough of this man, he is my wife's ex-husband, but he wants to take her away from me after I have made her who she is today. "Look at her, Pauline is now very beautiful because of me and Inani is now taking advantage of that and stalking her on Whatsapp. As I speak I have caught them red-handed flirting on the social media and I can prove it in this court. She was flirting with him and they were slowly falling back in love until I put a stop to it by confiscating her smart phone," he blurted out.
Matongera told the court that he would not allow Inani access to his child and claimed that he would update him on his child's well-being.
"He should not come to see his child or call my wife. I will update him if need be because he will lure her back if I let him visit," he kept on hammering accusations at the two.
Pauline was tight-lipped after her husband had finished talking and would not respond to the allegations that she had fallen back in love with her ex-husband.
"Your Worship, he only called to enquire about his child's wellbeing, but my husband would not hear of it. It is better if Inani calls him directly if that is what he wants," was all she could say.
Ndiraya later ordered Matongera to give Inani the phone number of Pauline's aunt who was said to be staying with the child. "This man is just violent and I do not know what he is talking about. I never flirted with his wife. All I needed was to know my child's whereabouts because I have never seen him since his birth," Inani defended himself.
Matongera, however, had to be ushered out of the Mutare Civil Courts premises after he had started ordering his wife around, telling her to stop talking to Inani and promising to sjambok her if she remains adamant.
