Political commentator Pedzisayi Ruhanya has said former Vice President Joice Mujuru's People First manifesto is neoliberal but the problem was that it has contextual bankruptcy because of the seismic shifts and changes in the political economy of the state that he largely informalised the economy.
Mujuru published her manifesto on Tuesday.

"Joyce Mujuru's BUILD statement is a neo-liberal (Washington Consensus) ideological document premised on promoting free market policies for building a middle class and promoting capital (her social base)," posted Ruhanya on Facebook.."My problem is that it has contextual bankruptcy because of the seismic shifts and changes in the political economy of the state that has largely informalized the economy and creates new social bases of largely poor and socially unprotected citizens."

He said the social base of the remaining working class, peasants, the majority unemployed, the poor, students etc are do not constitute her social base?

"Who is she communicating to; Washington consensus or the majority poor in Zimbabwe?" he said.
