Teen attacks rival over girlfriend

IN a bid to win his girlfriend back, a Sakubva teenager did the unthinkable when he attacked his rival with a steal rod.

Ngonidzashe Sando (19) who resides at House Number 402 Devonshire, Sakubva was convicted on his own guilty plea to charges of assault when he appeared before Miss Nyasha Kuture.

It was the State's case that Sando attacked Tinashe Chitaka (22) with the steel rod on his elbow and then struck him twice on the head. He pleaded guilty to the charges and told the court that he was incensed when he saw Chitaka walking with his girlfriend.

"He has no respect Your Worship. He provoked me by walking with my girlfriend whom I love," said Sando.
He was fined $100 or face one month imprisonment.
