Council accused of neglecting drainage system

Harare City council has been accused of neglecting to make drainage systems which make the city easily flood by water during rain period.

"Last year the City Council neglected drainage systems and it left major roads in and around the CBD flooded(pictures below)," said the Harare Residents Trust.

"We are fast approaching another rainy season and the Council is not taking any action! Are they going to deploy teams to clear the drains after they have already caused havoc like they did last year? we demand that our council be proactive rather than reactive to such issues!"
