Mugabe demotes Obert Mpofu in mini cabinet reshuffle

President Robert has demoted Dr Obert Moses Mpofu from Transport ministry to less influential portfolio of Economic Planning.
Joram Gumbo takes over as Transport minister.
Christopher Mushohwe is new Information and Broadcasting Services.
Mugabe made the changes as he sworn in 14 new deputies today.
Mugabe appointed little known Edgar Mbwembwe as deputy minister of Foreign Affairs, Obedingwa Mguni (Home Affairs); Barry Kachikwana (Lands and Rural Resettlement); Chris Chingosho (Local Government, Public Works and National Housing); Michael Madanhi (Transport); Adrian Masiiwa (Health); Thokozile Mathuthu (Media); Tshinga Dube (War Veterans); Annastacia Ndhlovu (Tourism); Bertha Chikwama (Lands and Resettlement); Monica Mutsvangwa (Economic Planning) and Tapuwanashe Matangaidze (Public Service).
New ministers are Patrick Zhuwao (Youth); Abednico Ncube (Rural Development and Preservation of National Heritage and Makhosini Hlongwane as Minister without Portfolio.
He takes over from Prisca Mupfumira who was in an acting capacity.
