MDC-T youth leader drowns

An MDC-T Harare Provincial Executive member, Sadam Sayi (24) drowned in a dam at Nhavira Business Centre yesterday morning.

According to information gathered by ZBC News the youth who had gone to Nharira for the party's 16th anniversary went to bath with his colleagues at around 0600hrs and is said to have drowned while swimming.

The area's traditional leader, Chief Musarurwa said he is saddened by the death as the party had not informed traditional leaders in the area of their meeting.

MDC-T Spokesperson, Obert Gutu confirmed the drowning incident, saying the 24 year old Sayi stayed in Mbare.

Gutu said funeral arrangements are yet to be finalised although he is likely to be buried in his rural home in Mtoko.
