Villagers in Seke communal area have clashed with Manyame Rural District Council officials after the latter forcefully pegged residential stands within villagers' homesteads for resale.
Council officials failed to hold a 2016 budget consultation meeting in Ward 2 after villagers demanded answers as to why the local authority was sub-dividing the villagers' plots without consulting them.
According to the villagers, council officials were encroaching into their homesteads and pegging stands for resale to home seekers from Chitungwiza.
