Model back at the courts for theft

Black Opal Face of Zimbabwe Second Princess Mercy Kamanura who is facing charges of theft of a jumpsuit from Edgars Stores was back at the Harare Magistrates Court today.
A high-powered delegation of witnesses from Edgars were ready to testify against the model turned thief.
Kamanura was supposed to be tried in Court 11, but her theft case was transferred to Court 7 before being finally handed over to Court 9.
Kamanura, who spent the whole day in the corridors of the Harare Magistrates Court, was later told that her case has been postponed.
The model is alleged to have stolen a jumpsuit from Edgars after pretending she wanted to buy clothes before entering the fitting room.
She allegedly took the jumpsuit and stashed it in her big hand bag and destroyed the price tags of the jumpsuit and left them in the fitting room.
Luck ran out for the thieving model when an alert security guard searched her on her way out and found the loot.
Kamanura is alleged to have misrepresented that she bought it at another Edgars shop.
However, enquiries were made a difference it was established that Kamanura had stolen the jumpsuit.
The little-known Chitungwiza-based model rose to fame after being voted the black opal face of Zimbabwe princess.
