Toddler vanishes as mom enjoys quality time

A WELL known Nyanyadzi commercial sex worker was last week left with egg on her face when she lost her five-year-old son whom she left alone at home to entertain a client who had paid for her services.
The hapless boy failed to locate his mother and strayed away from home before he got lost in the darkness. The woman, whose identity could not be established at the time of going to Press, found her child, who was in police custody at Nyanyadzi Police Station the following morning after she left her home alone on September 10 at around 10 pm.
The Weekender learnt that the commercial sex worker, who resides at Chimhaka Homestead in Makotamo Village in Chief Muusha's area, was in the company of a friend when she left the boy and went to a nearby night club to loiter for the purposes of prostitution.
"She left her child unattended. These women are well-known commercial sex workers who have taken Nyanyadzi by storm lately. She later got re-united with her son the following day. The boy was found around 3am wandering around the village," said a source.
The unremorseful mother confirmed the incident but was reluctant to divulge her identity.
"What do you want my name for?" she reacted at The Weekender reporters. "Yes it happened. We had gone out to look for men when the incident happened. Mabasa edu aya munongomazivawo. I came back home at around 3 am and discovered that my son was not in the house.
"It's not a serious issue. We knew this would happen. I was told way back that an evil spirit was haunting this child and it would haunt him during the night. I knew I was going to find him though," she said.
