MDC-T rules out GNU deal

The Movement for Democratic Change led by former Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai has ruled out talks for another GNU with Zanu-PF.

Obert Gutu, the party's spokesperson, said any talks with Zanu-PF would be a betrayal to their supporters.

His statements came following unconfirmed reports that MDC-T was having talks with Zanu-PF to form a unity government. Gutu said his party was not desperate for positions and would never be involved in talks for another GNU.

He was however quick to state that the only possible talks that the MDC-T was pushing for with Zanu-PF were for electoral reforms before the next election.
