Mrs Tracy Mutinhiri is free to attend Parliament as long as Zanu-PF has not officially communicated her dismissal, Deputy Clerk of Parliament Mr Kennedy Chokuda has said.
Mrs Mutinhiri was dismissed from Zanu-PF last month for behaviour inconsistent with the party's principles.
In an interview yesterday, Zanu-PF secretary for administration Didymus Mutasa yesterday urged Parliament to bar Mutinhiri from attending.
Mutasa, however, said he would officially inform Parliament about Mrs Mutinhiri's dismissal soon.
Yesterday Mr Chokuda said Parliament was unable to take any action against Mrs Mutinhiri in the absence of official communication from Zanu-PF.
"We work with official communication. So far we have not seen anything and if she comes to Parliament there is nothing we can do," he said.
The Zanu-PF Politburo dismissed Mrs Mutinhiri following recommendations by its national disciplinary committee. This was after she was found guilty of behaviour inconsistent with the party's principles.
