Govt dismisses lay-off claims

Government has dismissed as gross falsehoods reports by some sections of the media that it intends to retrench civil servants who are 50 years and above.

The reports were refuted in the National Assembly in Harare today by the Deputy Minister of Public Service, Labour and Social Welfare, Tapiwa Matangaidze.

Matangaidze said the reports by some sections of the media are a imagination of their own thinking.
