People living with disability have voiced their concerns against the Harare City Council over being repeatedly sideline in the issues of budget consultation.

Harare Residents Trust revealed the developments that People Living With Disabilities (PLWD) over the weekend voiced their opinion requesting the City of Harare to include their concerns in the city budget.

"For years the needs of PLWD have been overlooked and service provision seems to be marginalising them," said the Trust.

"They highlighted that at local poly clinics there are instances where clinic personnel give wrong treatments to people that are hard of hearing and talking. They requested that Council sets aside some money for the training of its personnel in sign language, to translate important health information into braille and make public buildings accessible to those that use wheel chairs."
