A 47-year-old Chitungwiza man allegedly gave his 19-year-old daughter some tablets to prevent her from contracting sexually transmitted diseases every time he raped her.
The man allegedly started sexually abusing his daughter in April 2013 after his wife left to work in Beitbridge.
He also allegedly raped her during their stay together after separating with his wife last year.
Appearing before Chitungwiza regional magistrate Mrs Estere Chivasa, the man denied rape charges and another of aggravated indecent assault. He was remanded out of custody to October 5 for trial.
Sometime in April 2013 at the man's house in Chitungwiza, he was left in the custody of the girl when his wife went to work in Beitbridge.
On the day in question, the man came back home from work at around 8pm and found his daughter alone while her young sister had gone to Westgate in Harare.
He allegedly increased the volume of the radio and started kissing and fondling her.
The girl screamed for help, but was silenced by her father who threatened to kill her.
It is further alleged that on another day during the same month, the girl was sleeping in the kitchen with her young sister while their father was in his bedroom.
He allegedly came into the room and raped the girl threatening to kill her.
The court heard that the man allegedly repeated the offence last year on two occasions and would supply the girl with tablets claiming they would prevent her from contracting STIs.
It is also alleged that he continued abusing the girl until she told her nephew, but he did nothing about it.
The matter came to light after she called her mother who was now staying in South Africa on August 26 this year.
She explained how her father had been abusing her since 2013.
The matter was reported to the police leading to the man's arrest.
