Zanu PF MP for Highfields Psychology Maziwisa has bragged that being elected as an MP has given him an opportunity to improve people's lives in his constituency.
In his Facebook post Maziwisa said being an MP in Highfield has been such a wonderful thing for me and it has given me the platform to help improve people's lives.
"So far, I have done the best that i can to look after the elderly, the widows, the orphans and to improve the general welfare of the people of Highfield through ensuring that there is water in places where there was no water at all and that council doesn't arbitrarily disconnect those who fail to pay on time," he said.
"In a fortnight i will lead a clean-up campaign across Highfield. It's been such a great joy and i look forward to doing more - within my capabilities."
He said but there are things that i feel you, my friends, could chip in and assist with - like helping a few bright kids with their school fees.
"A normal primary school in Highfield charges only $35 per term. A very small amount indeed but, would you believe it, there are bright kids being turned away for non-payment of fees," said Maziwisa.
"I will bring a few cases to your attention over the weekend - and humbly request that you assist them. Yes let us use social media to do some good deeds. We can do this. No contribution is too small. Any kind of help will be greatly appreciated."
