The Zimbabwe Revenue Authority has embarked on a massive roll out of automated revenue machines as part of the modernisation of the collection system.
The installation of automated revenue machines will be set up in all major towns and cities with a view to allow easy access to companies and individuals of relevant tax information.
ZIMRA Commissioner General Gershom Pasi says the project which is currently under study within the tax collector's offices will be rolled out next year.
"The rolling out of the project will see most tax payers understating the system very well. We are currently on a pilot project which will last until December this year.
The system has proved to be working wonders and we will be expanding it from Kurima House to other parts of the country and see how effective it is with more machines connected," said Mr Pasi.
ZIMRA has been meeting with tax payers to deliberate on compliance as well as appreciating outstanding tax payers for the year.
ZIMRA has missed revenue targets for the first half of the year owing to poor performance of the economy and hopes are high that the second half will be better.
