Call for urgent protection of children online

Stakeholders in the information communication technology have been called upon to come together in mitigating problems associated with technology among children.
Technological advancement has brought a lot of positive to the society.
However, the system posses threats to children who might be exposed to materials which are offensive and abusive.
Save the Children Advisor-Child Protection Mrs Valerie Matatu says her organisation is advocating for the protection of children against inappropriate information they are exposed to on the internet.
She said there is need to change the attitude of children and promote discipline among children.
While a number of people have been subjected to online criticism, children are more affected calling for the urgent protection of these innocent souls.
