'Electoral reform in Zimbabwe piecemeal and devoid of meaningful implementation'

The Election Resource Centre Zimbabwe has said Electoral reform in the country has been piecemeal and devoid of meaningful implementation. The organisation made the remarks through its Facebook post.
"This has seen slow legislative changes to the Electoral Act. However, these changes fall far short of addressing environmental and administrative challenges facing the electoral field," said ERC.
"The ERC, among other civil society players, has continuously castigated this form of reform. More importantly, consensus among election stakeholders about key reform areas has lacked. It is against this background that the ERC galvanised stakeholders' minimum priorities for electoral reforms and ultimately influence Parliament to prioritise electoral reform in Zimbabwe."
The organisation said this online petition aims to broaden the involvement of interested Zimbabweans in the call for Parliament, government and election authorities to take a serious approach towards electoral reform.
