A Political Commentator Pedzisai Ruhanya has confronted the MDC-T leadership to explain as to what they will do in case of the MPs and councillor from the party who have passed away when the by elections are declared for the constituencies.
This comes in the wake of the MDC-T having reiterated its policy that it will not participate in any election until electoral reforms are made.
"So what does the MDC-T do in a situation where their elected officials unfortunately pass on in the context of a NO REFORMS, NO ELECTION POLICY particularly in their zones of autonomy of BULAWAYO and HERALD," said Ruhanya.
"Reading Alfred Stepan (1971) on guarding zones of autonomy could assist these people before they make certain policy positions! Two Harare MDC-T councillors and an MP in Bulawayo have passed on. What are you going to do you MDC-T people? Such lack of vision and understanding of political processes are a recipe for elite disintegration leading to potential party splits."
