Norton Residents Development Trust on Thursday October 8 hosted a demonstration expressing dissatisfaction over failure by the local authority to address the issues of corruption they raised early this year. host demo over corruption in the council
Harare Residents Trust said a sister Residents Association, Norton Residents Development Trust (NRDT) hosted demonstration in Norton on 8 October 2015 starting at 10am.
"This was a follow up demonstration after the first one they held earlier this year. They feel that their demands have not been met, the Norton Council is corrupt, there is poor service delivery, Maridale has gone for 15 years without water and sewer reticulation, Norton has gone for over 5 years without a mortuary at Norton Hospital and the Council is misusing money realized from estates to sustain their massive wage bill. The HRT supports the NRDT," said the trust.
