Makokoba member of Parliement Tshinga Dube has said corruption is rife at Bulawayo Vehicle Inspectorate Department (VID).
Dube said he has received countless reports of officials demanding bribes.
He said he will deploy under cover residents to expose the rot.
"Am told that people who send their vehicles for inspection and certification are openly told to pay bribes on top of official fee.
"Those who refuse to pay bribes have their cars released but told that within two days the cars will be back at the deport'.
He added."
The VID people have their teams on the roads who keep a track of those released vehicles. I will now deploy undercover people to fish out those corrupt people.
"President Robert Mugabe is always talking about anti-corruption. We should shun corruption."
Dube was speaking at a constituency meeting today.
