All Set for NJAMA

All has been set for the National Journalism and Media Awards, NJAMA, dinner gala which has been slated for Thursday night amid reports journalists, politicians, captains of industry and celebrities will mingle during the event.
This was revealed by Zimbabwe Union of Journalists, ZUJ, Secretary General, Foster Dongozi said all was set for the event which is designed to honor and reward excelling journalists in Zimbabwe.
"Popular musician, Fungisai Zvakavapano-Mashavave and ZiFM Stereo's Candice Mwakalyelye will headline the dinner gala as the two co directors of ceremonies while popular comedian, Clive Chigubhu from Bulawayo will provide entertainment."
Journalists will be rewarded in 19 categories, said Dongozi.
This year's awards are running under the theme: "A professionally empowered media workforce," and will have Local Government , Public Works and National Housing Minister, Saviour Kasukuwere as guest of honour.
The Secretary General said the gala dinner was ready to roar into life with adjudication having started in Nyanga over the weekend.
"Service providers have started assembling their tools of trade to ensure that they produce a glamorous, glitzy, jaw dropping spectacle designed to dazzle those who will be privileged to be part of the show."
NJAMA sponsors for this year are: Nyaradzo Group, Delta Corporation, UNFPA, FBC Bank Limited, ZIMPLATS, Unicef, Net One, ZESA, Schweppes Zimbabwe Limited, Nestle, SEED Co, Matsikidze and Mucheche Law Chambers, Radiation Protection Authority of Zimbabwe, Zimbabwe National Council for the Welfare of the Children, ZNCWC, Multi Choice and First Mutual Wealth Management.
