ZimFirst leader Maxwell Shumba says tollgates will end when he gets into power

ZimFirst leader Maxwell Shumba has said the issues of motorists paying toll gates will end when he gets into power in 2018 after the elections.
"Milking Citizens will Stop with ZimFirst," he said "On Day one of a ZimFirst Govt-TollGates Will Go! For starters, all major roads into Zimbabwe's big cities have TollGates erected to collect money from motorists. To pass through a tollgate car a mid size car pays $2 per entry."
Shumba said thousands of dollars are collected at each of these checkpoints.
"The majority of the TollGates have been in existence for more than 4 years now. While the Zimbabwean citizens grudgingly comply with the requirements at the check points there is no evidence that the money collected is being used for road maintenance or for any project to benefit the people. Our neglected roads have become death traps and we continue to lose lives daily on them," Shumba said.
"Where is the money collected from the TollGates going? Can we doubt the veracity of the rumor doing rounds that the money collected from TollGates is being used to finance the heartless and self centered Dr Amai veZanu's campaign where she is dishing out 'gifts' to ZANU PF members at her own 'feel good' rallies?"
He said let be known to all that on day one a ZimFirst government will do away with this money laundering scheme called TollGates.
"Our nation cannot afford to milk a citizenry which is battling record book levels of unemployment. We will use our natural wealth responsibly to begin to rebuild the nation and the roads on day one. ZimFirst Party is a people first party," he said.
