ROHR Zimbabwe (Restopration of Human Rights) has petitioned the Sadc over the stance taken by the Zimbabwean army generals to thwart any dissenting voices and actors against President Robert Mugabe's government.

This was revealed during the Zimbabwe Vigil which Marks its 13th Year Anniversary this month.

"We launched a new petition directed at the Chair of SADC (Botswana) about the warlike talk by Zimbabwean generals. We also continued our monthly protests for Itai Dzamara - it is now seven months since he was abducted," said the organisation in a Facebook post.

The Vigil, outside the Zimbabwe Embassy, 429 Strand, London, takes place every Saturday from 14.00 to 18.00 to protest against gross violations of human rights in Zimbabwe.

The Vigil which started in October 2002 will continue until internationally-monitored, free and fair elections are held in Zimbabwe.
