Woman with expensive taste dumped by hubby

A ZIMUNYA woman Tsverukai Makaza was dumped by her husband after she secured an expensive room to rent in Mutare.

Makaza has approached the Mutare Civil Courts applying for $140 maintenance for her two minor children and herself from her estranged husband, Steward Chigodora.

Chigodora told the court that he could not afford to part with the amount Makaza wanted because she had opted to stay in an expensive room.

He told the court that before they moved to Mutare where she is now paying $80 per room as rentals, they used to stay in Zimunya where they paid only $40 per room.

"If she wants my money, then she has to go back to stay in Zimunya," he told the court.

He also told the court that he had moved out of their Mutare rented room and moved back to Zimunya, leaving his wife and children.

Makaza told the court that she no longer wants to stay in Zimunya because the location is away from the city.

"I do not want to stay in Zimunya, I want to stay in the city. He claims that he cannot afford the rentals but he is a kombi driver and earns around $300 monthly," she said.

She also responded to what Chigodora had told the court that his younger brothers were dependant on him and that he could only afford $40 monthly for his children.

"Your Worship all his younger brothers are qualified teachers and I wonder how they depend on a mere kombi driver when they earn more than him," she said.

Chigodora was ordered to pay $80 monthly for the upkeep of his family.
