Harare council comes up with manual process to enable residents acquire stands

Harare City Council has advised residents that it has come up with a manual process to enable residents to acquire stands without being duped into losing a lot of money to land barons.
Harare Residents Trust said Many residents in and around Harare were duped millions of their money by land barons.
"In a move to protect home seekers the City of Harare has come up with a manual that outlines correct procedures that a resident can use to acquire a residential stand and also shed light on the responsibilities of council staff in the process. Does this mean that the council staff did not know their responsibilities? Or they knew them and decided to neglect them," said the trust.
This come after a number of residents had their homes destroyed by the council after the land baro0ns most of them linked to the ruling Zanu PF sold and allocated them land.
