Zapu to dissolve Bulawayo executive

OPPOSITION ZAPU has resolved to dissolve its Bulawayo provincial executive following a door-to-door recruitment exercise in the city aimed at rejuvenating the party.

Zapu regional director for information and publicity Iphuthile Maphosa told Southern Eye that elections to choose a new executive will be held on October 31.

Maphosa said the party resolved to dissolve the provincial executive to ensure it becomes representative of the composition of the new district structures.

Maphosa said Zapu will next month take its recruitment drive to either South Africa or Matabeleland North.
