THE main opposition MDC-T has threatened to roll out a series of mass protests soon to force the Zanu-PF government to urgently address the worsening economic situation.
MDC-T spokesperson Obert Gutu told NewsDay yesterday that the party's organising department and youth wing were seized with logistical arrangements.
MDC-T has for the past two years been threatening mass demonstrations over the deteriorating economic conditions, but so far nothing has materialised.
As part of resolutions from its last congress, the MDC-T said it would engage in mass protests despite police threats to crush the demonstrations.
MDC-T leader Morgan Tsvangirai early this year warned that the demonstrations should be well-timed to avoid playing into Zanu-PF's hands.
