The Ministry of Local Government, Public Works and National Housing has introduced a new Housing Scheme known as Home Ownership Scheme in order to meet the combined ZIM-ASSETand National Housing Delivery Programme target of 313 368 housing units/serviced stands by December 2018.

The Scheme is anchored on member contributions to leverage finance for the servicing of land and construction of housing units while the Ministry provides access to the land and necessary technical services.

To this end, the Ministry in association with CBZ Bank is now developing two to three bedroomed flat units at Dzivarasekwa and Tafara Flat Sites. In this regard, prospective beneficiaries are invited to register and participate in the above-cited Schemes. You are only allowed to register for one project and registration is based on a first-come first-served basis. The estimated unit cost ranges between $42,145.00 to $49,431.17.

Registration forms are obtainable at the Ministry of Local Government, Public Works and National Housing, (Division of Public Works and National Housing), Harare Metropolitan Province at Number 52 Market Street, Eastlea, Harare, next to VID Deport. Registration forms will be collected from Monday 12th October, 2015 to Friday 23rd October, 2015 between 9am and 4pm.
