Chinese Vice Minister meets Mugabe

Chinese Vice Minister of Commerce Mr Zhang Xiangchen and his delegation has met with President Robert Mugabe at State House.
The delegation briefed Mugabe about some of the memoranda of understanding to be signed between Zimbabwe and China ahead of the Chinese President's visit in December.
Mr Xiangchen met with President Mugabe ahead of a number of memoranda of understanding to be signed with Zimbabwe with a number of Chinese companies.
Speaking soon after a closed door meeting with the Mr Xiangchen, President Mugabe said the minister's visit comes at a time Zimbabwe is preparing for the visit by the Chinese President Mr Xi Jinping in December.
Mr Xiangchen, who was accompanied by a high level delegation from China, spoke about the bilateral relations on trade and commerce and various projects that Zimbabwe and China are set to undertake.
A number of MOUs are expected to be signed by other ministries and these are expected to pave way for the signing of yet another memorandum of understanding by the two heads of state in December.
Cabinet ministers Patrick Chinamasa and Simbarashe Mumbengegwi attended the meeting.
The Chinese delegation is expected to leave for China this Saturday.
