Acting President Phelekezela Mphoko has appealed to law enforcement authorities and medical personnel investigating the death of Zanele Moyo to diligently and meticulously deal with the case to ensure the circumstances and cause are established.

Mphoko was speaking at the Moyo residence in Borrowdale where he had gone to pay his condolences, following the death of Higher and Tertiary Education, Science and Technology Development Minister, Professor Jonathan Moyo's 20-year old daughter.

Zanele, a University of Cape Town second year student of political science and gender studies was found dead in her off-campus flat in Cape Town on sunday the 18th of October, and it is still not established when exactly she died while the cause is yet to be established.

Mphoko, who was away on government duty when Zanele's body was repatriated and buried last Friday, visited the Moyo residence this Tuesday afternoon, where he said results of the investigations should help console the family and bring closure to the case.
