Speaker of Parliament Jacob Mudenda has warned legislators that days of bunking sessions are soon to be over.
He said some legislators have a tendency of making a token appearance to have their names ticked in the attendance register only to disappear immediately afterwards.
Parliament is said to be working on biometric system that requires MPs to register their attendance at settings of the National Assembly by using their thumbprint.
It will be also be used at committee meetings.
The biometric system will replace the manual system.
Most MPs and Ministers routinely skip parliamentary sessions.
