Rainy season starts today - Met Dept

The Meteorological Services Department has predicted the rainy season to kick start this week with the southern parts of the country expected to start experiencing a wet spell by from today.
According to ZBC, Senior Meteorologist, Tich Zinyemba said areas such as Masvingo, Matabeleland South and Manicaland provinces will receive rains beginning on Wednesday while other parts of the country will receive rains in the coming week.
"The country will start receiving rains tomorrow in the southern parts of the country and we expect that by next week, other areas will start receiving the rains," said Zinyemba.
Zinyemba admitted that weather predictions can only be conducted within a limited time frame of between three days and 10 days.
"The atmosphere is very dynamic and our focus looks at the probability and we can only do up to 10 days and we cannot come up with predictions of period beyond 10 days," he said.
