Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa has advised citizens that Zimbabwe belongs to them not to an individualthe remarks which might be seen as a sign that he is also able to be a president and its not only President Robert Mugabe who can run the country.

In a Facebook post Mnangagwa said, "Rejoice all Ye Zimbabweans. For this country belongs to you and your children and those that will come after you. It doesn't belong to an individual. Neither does it belong to one family. It's for you, it's for me, it's for everyone. Lay claim to your land. Lay claim to your inheritance. Knowing that blood was shed to enable you to do this. Let us make it productive. Let us make it prosperous."

This come at a time when power squabbles are escalating in the ruling Zanu PF as the time for Mugabe to go seems more possible than ever due to his advance age.
